Re: free beefheart dvd
Fri, November 25, 2005 - 6:31 PMThe site is a tracker for mostly live and some "officially unreleased" music recordings. Some tv stuff slips in there. Interesting interview clips from John French and Ry Cooder. A comment or two from Don Vliet, which could be taken as his final words on his music career. The quality of archival and concert footage is excellent, leaving me wanting more MORE!
There has also been a variety of live concerts, nearly all from the late 70s. Oh, jeez. I just started listening to one that they say is from 1971. So good it's starting me to twitch. Maybe I should reupload that one, it's been a while since it was seeded...
Anyway, hope any that are interested figure it out. The dime a dozen site is a bit stringent on quality control and legitimacy of the downloads, but that is really for the best for all parties involved. No MP3s. In the cause for quality it is most all shn and flac for audio. Video content is more standard. A little learning curve for the uninitiated. Sorta like the first 3 times you heard Trout Mask Replica. Heh.
cheers.
PS: the dime site is not dedicated to Beefheart. Just thought I would mention that. Once registered you can do a search.
